BOOM, BANG, CRASH — across the chest. Comic Speech Bubbles is the Festival collection's loudest pop-art print, primary-colour speech bubbles and impact frames printed at near-panel scale on a sky-blue cotton ground. As an H Harness in the Alpha 30.
A printed cotton in full pop-art register — primary red, school-bus yellow, deep purple, jet-black ink outlines, white speech-bubble fills on a sky-blue ground, with action-line bursts and halftone dot fills carrying the comic-shop-floor energy. The print is macro-scale: BOOM, BANG, and CRASH are wrist-sized; explosion stars are palm-sized. On the H silhouette, the symmetry frames the loudest action lines as deliberate panels of comic art, with one or two motifs landing per strap rather than dissolving into texture. Purple stitching anchors the silhouette without competing with the print. The cloth came to the studio as a gift from @drinkloveplay, picked up on a trip to Portugal — the Festival collection's most personally-sourced piece, and the only piece in the Alpha 30 with a gift-not-bought provenance. The Festival collection's most explicitly pop-cultural cloth — Lichtenstein-coded, Glastonbury-ready, the harness with its own sound effects.

This configuration — Comic Speech Bubbles in purple stitching, silver hardware on an H Harness — won't be reproduced. The print's macro scale means every motif is placed once and never again on this piece — the cut decision matters as much as the print does. Future drops may revisit the cloth with different finishes; this combination exists once.
