X Harness — Cockadoodle (Festival)
Cockadoodle knows exactly what it's drawn — and the title earns every letter. Rainbow outline motifs across a clean white cotton ground. The X catches the print on the diagonal across the chest, accelerating the colour gradient through the cross-cut.
A novelty cotton print in rainbow gradient outline on a clean white ground — outlines only, no fill, with the linework progressing through the full spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) across the cloth. The X silhouette catches the rainbow gradient on the diagonal across the chest — the most graphic silhouette in the archive, where the colour progression accelerates through the X's cross-cut and the eye reads the gradient as motion rather than as static field. White stitching keeps the lines clean against the print. One of three Cockadoodle pieces in the Alpha 30 — the H, X, and Y silhouettes in this same cloth. Festival cloth that did its colour homework.
