A William Morris archive print in cotton — cream linework on a deep wine ground that reads as oxblood, claret, or burgundy depending on the light. The print is dense: scrolling foliage, bulbous thistle or seed-head shapes, and the small "secret animal" Morris embedded in many of his fabric designs, all layered into a continuous decorative field that's roughly half cream linework, half wine ground. The Y silhouette holds the print openly across the chest, the open lines letting the foliage carry continuously rather than cutting cleanly. White stitching keeps the linework clean against the wine. Sourced from Parlour Made in Beccles, Suffolk — the founder's hometown supplier, working with the V&A's licensed William Morris archive range. V&A-licensed provenance: the design is produced under the museum's Morris archive licence.
